Pankita Patel

Pankita Patel is an Assistant Professor at North Carolina Central University. Prior to joining NCCU, Patel was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Art at Northland College, Ashland, Wisconsin. Patel earned her MFA in Graphic Design from Louisiana Tech University in 2022 and her BFA in Graphic Design from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2017.

Patel earned her Diploma in Fine Arts in 2007 from Kanoria Center for the Arts. She also earned her Master of Arts in 2006 from L. D. Arts College, and a Bachelor of Arts in 2003 from R. H. Patel Arts & Commerce College with a concentration in English Literature, in Ahmedabad, India.

In 2019, North Central Louisiana Arts Council displayed her digital painting on a billboard https://www.nclac.org/exhibitions along Interstate 20 as part of a campaign to bring art to the public in everyday locations https://www.pankitapatel.com/billboard. Her work has been displayed in galleries and published in the ‘UNC Charlotte Botanical Garden’ book. In 2017, her mural group project ‘Fragment from the Library of Babel’ has been permanently installed in the Architecture Building of UNC Charlotte.
